Miami Beach High, the second oldest school in Dade County, opened its doors in 1926, originally located near Washington Avenue in Miami Beach's South Beach area.  The school moved in 1958 to its present location at Prairie Ave.  MBHS alumni include; Ellen Barkin (1972), Andy Garcia (1974), Mickey Rourke (1971), Robert Rubin, Neal Walk (1965), Barbara Walters (1947), and many more.
